Kuwait Municipality has announced the start of a comprehensive field campaign aimed at improving cleanliness across the country's highways and streets. The initiative, carried out by the General Cleaning and Road Occupation Departments, will take place throughout November and December, focusing on all governorates in Kuwait.
Intensive Cleaning and Monitoring Efforts
Saad Al-Khurainj, Director of the General Cleaning and Road Occupation Department in Ahmadi Governorate, explained that the campaign's primary goal is to not only clean the streets but also to monitor and take action against violators. The inspection teams will be closely watching areas for any violations of cleanliness and road occupation regulations.
Focus on Main Roads and Streets
The campaign places a strong emphasis on raising cleanliness standards in Kuwait's key roads and streets. This includes cleaning highways, main roads, and internal streets, as well as removing any waste, sand, or debris that could disrupt the aesthetic and environmental quality of the area. Al-Khurainj noted that recent field campaigns have already resulted in cleaning expressways like King Abdulaziz Al Saud Road, ensuring a cleaner, safer environment for motorists and pedestrians alike.
Ongoing Monitoring and Legal Action
Al-Khurainj also highlighted that center supervisors are regularly monitoring the progress of cleaning efforts throughout the governorate. They ensure that any obstacles are removed promptly, helping to maintain smooth traffic flow and improve the overall visual appeal of the streets. Furthermore, the inspection teams are committed to taking legal action against any individual or entity found violating the General Cleanliness and Road Occupations Regulations.
