Kuwait has taken decisive action against a gang involved in residency trafficking, forgery, and manipulation, following directives from His Excellency Sheikh Fahd Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior.
The General Department of Residency Investigations, led by the Search and Investigation Department, arrested six individuals of Syrian, Egyptian, and Asian nationalities.
The gang allegedly manipulated residency permits and forged documents to transfer workers' residencies to a company, registering personal vehicles to obtain operating licenses. Their objective was to inflate the need estimates and issue driving licenses to unqualified individuals in exchange for money.
Further investigations revealed that some registered vehicles did not exist, with certain employees from relevant authorities colluding to renew and inspect these vehicles illegally.
The Ministry of Interior has reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the law without exception. The arrested individuals have been referred to the Public Prosecution, with all necessary legal actions being taken.
