Kuwait Announces Six-Day Eid Al Adha Break for the Public Sector


The Council of Ministers announced on Monday, May 22nd that all ministries and government agencies will have an Eid Al Adha break from June 27th until July 2nd.
The ministries and agencies will resume work on Monday, July 3rd.
Government departments that have a special nature of work can decide on the number of days off for their employees according to the nature of their work.

Kuwait's residents expect a five-day Eid break from June 27th until June 30th including the weekend, which might result in a five-day holiday. Nonetheless, the competent authorities have not announced the official Eid break for private sector employees.
The dates for Eid Al Adha may change depending on the moon sighting, nonetheless, public sector employees will still get a short work week.
