The Kuwaiti Centre for Government Communication has announced dates for the upcoming Islamic New Year holiday.

Wednesday, July 19th will be a holiday to mark the Hijri New Year and the following day, Thursday, July 20th has been declared a day of rest.
Since Friday and Saturday make up a regular weekend in the nation, all government departments, agencies, and institutions will enjoy a four-day weekend.
The Islamic New Year, also known as the Hijri New Year, marks the beginning of a new lunar year.
The first day of the Islamic year is observed by most Muslims on the first day of the month of Muharram.
