According to Abdullah Al-Rajhi, the Acting Deputy Director General for Aviation Safety, Air Transport, and Civil Aviation Security, Kuwait International Airport recorded an 8 percent decrease in passenger traffic during March. The total number of passengers amounted to 1,067,674, with 552,856 arrivals and 514,818 departures.
Aircraft Traffic Shows Marginal Increase
While passenger traffic witnessed a decline, there was a marginal 1 percent increase in aircraft traffic at Kuwait International Airport. In March, the airport facilitated a total of 9,950 flights, up from 9,283 flights recorded in the same period last year.
Surgein Air Cargo Traffic
In contrast to the trends in passenger and aircraft traffic, air cargo traffic experienced a notable surge of 14 percent in March compared to the previous year. This increase underscores the growing importance of air freight services at Kuwait International Airport.
