Islamic lessons in Chinese have started at Makkah's Grand Mosque, according to a report from The Saudi Press Agency earlier this week.
The translations have been under the supervision of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques. Islamic lessons are currently offered in 14 different languages, as stated by the department's director, Saleh Al-Rashedi. Around 7,000 people utilize the services each month, either by participating in lessons that are simultaneously translated into other languages or by reading quotes that the general presidency posts on social media.
English, Urdu, French, Hausa, Turkish, Malay, Indonesian, Tamil, Hindi, Bengali, Persian, Russian, and Borneo, are some of the additional languages that are available.
Furthermore, in order to educate pilgrims about the customs associated with the yearly event, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah recently released the short film "The Journey of a Lifetime."
The project, which is managed by Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, Minister of Hajj and Umrah, will be broadcast in nine languages: Arabic, English, Urdu, French, Bengali, Farsi, Hausa, Indonesian, and Turkish. With more than 800 actors, it took seven weeks and more than 14 sites to film.
