India's Akasa Air is expected to start flights to Kuwait, Riyadh, and Jeddah by the end of October 2024.
The news was shared by Akasa Air's Founder and Chief Executive Officer Vinay Dube.
The carrier will be launching its international flights on Mar. 28, with flight services from Mumbai to Doha available four times a week.
According to Dube, the flights to Kuwait and the Saudi cities will launch at the end of the IATA summer season.
Dube also explained that the airline cannot file for international flying until they have received approvals from the concerned foreign governments, which seems to be the reason behind the late commencement of flights to Kuwait.
Akasa Air is a low-cost airline, based in Mumbai India, which started operations in August 2022.
Akasa Air has a fleet of 23 Boeing 737 Max aircraft and it received permission to commence international flights in December 2023 from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DCGA).
