The average monthly income of a non-Kuwaiti family in 2021 was 939.8 dinars without calculating the rental value compared to 1,131.5 dinars with an increase of 2.3 percent compared to the Income and Expenditure Survey in 2013.
This was revealed by Acting Director-General of the Central Department of Statistics, Mania Al-Qabandi in a press statement on the sidelines of the conference “Release of the Results of the Expenditure and Income Survey for the Year 2021”

The average monthly expenditure of a non-Kuwaiti family in 2021, without calculating the rental value, amounted to 1071.3 dinars an increase of 4.4 percent compared to the income and expenditure survey in 2013, while the average monthly expenditure of a non-Kuwaiti family calculating the value of rent is 1071.3 dinars, “about 3.5 thousand dollars,” the sources added.
The Central Statistical Administration has completed the Household Income and Expenditure Survey Project 2019-2021 in cooperation and partnership with the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development and the Office of the United Nations Development Program.
