Well, a team from Ohio State University found that children who grew up poor were more likely to have health problems, such as chronic inflammation and lung problems, while those who experienced income inequality as adults rather than children had less health deterioration, which supports a theory known as the 'Developmental Origins of Health and Disease,' which implies that our health as adults is strongly influenced by what we experience in childhood.
In short, when children grow up in a poor environment, they do not have adequate care and nutrition resources necessary for their proper growth, which makes their bodies fragile, weak, and vulnerable to diseases more than others who have had the opportunity to live in an environment in which all the necessities of a well-off life are available.
