Five individuals have been charged in connection with the former One Direction member Liam Payne's death.
Argentine judicial officials have revealed that allegations range from manslaughter to drug trafficking.
Payne passed away after falling off from his hotel balcony in Buenos Aires in October. Police had revealed that the Britsh singer had consumed "various substances" including drugs and alcohol.
Toxicology reports showed that Payne had consumed alcohol, cocaine and a prescription antidepressant at the time of his death.
Argentine prosecutors concluded that his death was accidental, his intoxicated state causing him to mistake the balcony for the door.
The charges included manslaughter against Payne's representative, the hotel manager, and the head receptionist.
Prosecutors accused these individuals of not ensuring Payne's safety. The representative has been described as aware of Payne's state before his death, but he left the hotel shortly before the incident.
The hotel staff has been accused of moving Payne to a room with a balcony despite knowing about his intoxicated state.
These defendants will face up to five years in prison if convicted.
A hotel employee and a local waiter have also been charged with supplying cocaine to Payne during his stay. They are in pre-trail detention currently and will receive 15 years in prison if they are convicted.
Liam Payne addressed his struggle with substance abuse and mental health earlier this year, marking six years of sobriety after receiving treatment in the US.
Days before his death in Argentina, Payne had attended the concert of another former One Direction member Niall Horan.
