Calling all cinephiles! Some exciting movies will be screened at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmed Cultural Centre this September.

Perfect Days

'Perfect Days' is a story about a janitor in Tokyo, named Hirayama, who is content with his simple life, but a series of unexpected encounters reveal more about his past. 

The film's actor Kōji Yakusho received the Best Actor award at the 76th Cannes Film Festival and was part of the Palme d'Or competition.

The film will be screened on Wednesday, Sep. 18 in the Cinema at 6:00 p.m. 

Bye Bye Tiberias

This documentary film explores the story of four generations of women, starting from the mother's story who is the famous Palestinian actress Hiam Abbass.

The film premiered at the 2023 Venice International Film Festival.

The film will be screened at JACC on Wednesday, Sep. 18 at 8:45 p.m. and on Monday, Sep. 23 at 6:00 p.m.

The Shining

The epic horror film based on Stephen King's novel follows the story of the writer Jack Torrance and recovering alcoholic who becomes the off-season caretaker of the Overlook Hotel.

The film will be screened at the JACC Cinema on Monday, Sep. 23 at 8:45 p.m.
