Here is everything F1 fans need to know about the Bahrain Grand Prix 2024, which will take place from Feb. 29 to Mar. 2 at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir, Bahrain.

The pre-season testing is already underway in Bahrain and the tickets for the grandstands at the Grand Prix are already sold out! Fans can get Hospitality tickets at the official Bahrain GP website

The Bahrain Grand Prix 2024 Schedule?

The practice sessions will take place from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Feb. 29 at the BIC. 

There will be another practice session from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Mar. 1 before the qualifying session from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on the same day. 

The Grand Prix will take place on Saturday, Mar. 2, starting at 7:00 p.m.

The Bahrain Grand Prix 2024 will be the first race of the season hosted on a Saturday and the second one will be the Saudi Grand Prix 2024

Pitlane Walk

Ticketholders will get a chance to meet their favorite F1 teams during the pitlane walk on Wednesday, Feb. 28 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Gates will open at 4:00 p.m. 

Bahrain Grand Prix 2024 Concerts

The Bahrain Grand Prix ticket holders will get to attend the concerts of two famous DJs.

German DJ Zedd will perform on Friday, Mar. 2, while famous Jamaican trio Major Lazor's DJ Diplo will perform on Saturday, Mar. 2.

Only ticketholders for the race will have access to these concerts. 

Transportation for F1 Fans to and from BIC

The BIC is offering transportation to and from the following hotels from Saturday, Mar. to Sunday, Mar. 3 for the Bahrain Grand 2024:

  • Sofitel
  • Ritz Carlton
  • Four Seasons Hotel
  • Intercontinental Regency
  • Nordic Palace & Spa, Seef
  • IBIS Seef
  • Downtown Rotana
  • The K Hotel 
  • The Olive Hotel

The BIC shared the timing for the transportation services in a social media post.

If you're staying at these hotels, it is best to avail the BIC's transportation service for convenient and safe travel to and from the Bahrain Grand Prix 2024. 

Car Passes Collection

People who will be travelling to BIC in their private transportation will have to purchase or collect car passes from the following locations:

  • City Center Bahrain: Ground floor, next to Costa Coffee, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. until Mar. 2.
  • F1 Fan Village: Block 338, Adliya, from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. until Feb. 27
  • Exhibition World Bahrain: The last point of ticket sales is located at the Main Entrance, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. until Mar. 2.

One free car pass is issued for every three tickets purchased. Additional car passes can be purchased at the above locations. 

F1 Fan Village

The F1 Fan Village is running until Mar. 17 at Block 338 of the BIC, which features various exciting motorsports activities for F1 fans!

The entertainment at the F1 fan village includes DJs, roaming performers, and street artists. 

Motorsport activities include taking pictures with the F1 World Championship Trophy and various exciting games at the Esports Zone!

The entry for the F1 Fan Village is free of charge and the timings for the fan village are:

  • Weekdays: 6 PM - 12 AM
  • Weekends: 1 PM - 12 AM.

Other Fun Facts About the F1 2024 Season!

The AlphaTauri F1 team is now called RB, while Alfa Romeo is now called Kick Sauber. 

The Chinese Grand Prix is back for the 2024 season and it will be hosted in April 2024.

The Japan Grand Prix has also been moved to April 2024. 

F1 fans need to keep these facts in mind as they prepare for the start of the F1 2024 season.
