Emergency teams have been mobilized across all six governorates in Kuwait to address the impact of recent rainfall. This initiative is being coordinated by the Ministry of Public Works in partnership with the Public Authority for Roads and Transportation (PART).
Authorities confirmed that the rainfall had not caused significant water accumulation or flooding on major roads or expressways. The ministry’s drainage systems successfully managed the rainfall, ensuring smooth traffic flow.
To tackle potential challenges posed by rainwater, the ministry is working closely with other government agencies. It is also monitoring weather updates from the Meteorological Department to prepare for any changes in conditions. Residents are urged to report water accumulation or related issues via the hotline 150 or WhatsApp.
The Kuwait Fire Force (KFF) has been placed on high alert at all fire stations to respond swiftly to any emergencies resulting from the rainfall.
In addition to fire services, security personnel, patrol units, and rescue teams are managing traffic and maintaining public safety. The Kuwait Army has also activated its Ghaith Task Force, which is on standby to provide logistical, humanitarian, and support services if needed.
This collaborative effort underscores Kuwait’s readiness to address weather-related challenges and ensure the safety and well-being of its residents.
