Discover The Lusail Trail
Mr. Khaled Al-Suwaidi, Director of the Partner Relations Department at the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, said that the importance of the Lusail Trail lies in the fact that it is located within a strategic area, and that its peculiarity is its proximity to the Lusail World Cup Stadium and its ease of access.
Al-Suwaidi explained, through the Majlis program, which is broadcast on Al-Kass channels, that the Lusail Trail project was designed to remain beyond the World Cup to serve the city of Lusail, noting that the streets will be air-conditioned and cool so that the public can visit it at any time of the year, noting that its distance is 1.5 km, and is divided into two parts. :
1- The Walkway (The Boulevard)
2- The show court (the plaza).
Al-Suwaidi added that the Lusail trail will include restaurants, hotels, and shops and will be decorated in celebration of the World Cup, which will be held at the end of this year, noting that it will host many cultural and artistic performances throughout the day during the 29-day World Cup.
As for the plaza, Al-Suwaidi explained that it will contain a large theater and a number of umbrellas that will display on it some beautiful and distinctive things, pointing out that the working hours will be from 10 am to 3 am.
Al-Suwaidi also indicated that there will be many shows of interest to the masses, as there will be two drone shows during the day and a daily walk twice during the day, and it contains different Qatari, Arab and international cultural shows, as well as classic and modern car rallies and a water show in front of the square, noting that The presence of fixed shops and kiosks to serve the fans of the World Cup.
The Director of the Partner Relations Department at the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy expected that 60,000 people would visit Lusail trail during the World Cup, stressing that the fan would spend two to three hours there without getting bored and then set off for the match.
Regarding transportation, Al-Suwaidi stated that it is easy to access the Lusail Trail via public transportation, and by tram, metro, and cars, but parking will be limited, stressing that the Lusail Trail is air-conditioned and very close to Lusail Stadium.
For his part, Khaled Ali Al-Mawlawi, CEO of the tournament experience at the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, confirmed that entering the Lusail trail does not require obtaining a Haya card, and it is available to all.
It is worth noting that Lusail Road extends along the main entrance to the vibrant downtown of Lusail and will be its main business center.
As the Lusail trail is one of the main attractions for football fans in the 2022 World Cup, the project will play a pivotal role in hosting the most important sporting event in the world.
Lusail Trail project was designed and implemented by RC Al Manee Company at a cost of QR 2 billion and 100 million.
