Calling all aspiring filmmakers! The Doha Film Institute (DFI) will host an exciting Filmmaking Lab with Oscar-nominated documentarian Rithy Panh.
The filmmaking lab will run from Sep. 1. to Sep. 25. The deadline to apply for the lab is Sunday, Jul. 14.
The lab will feature in-person and online lessons for filmmakers who are working on a short or feature film.
Filmmakers with documentary, fiction, and hybrid projects in the development, production, or early editing stages can also apply for this lab to benefit from it for their projects.
This lab will teach aspiring filmmakers about the method of narration and working with culture and identity to provide a deep understanding of traditions and culture.
Rithy Panh is a Cambodian documentary film director and screenwriter. His documentary film 'The Missing Picture' won the top prize in the Un Certain Regard category at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival and it was also nominated for an Oscar Award for Best Foreign Language Film at the 86th Academy Awards.
