Construction Work Resumes at Darwaza Square After Five Years

The construction and development work at the Darwaza Al-Abdulrazzaq Square resumed after five years of suspension on Wednesday, Mar. 13.

Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Dr Noura Al-Mashaan shared that the ministry is keen to complete this project after the long suspension.
The project will include repairing the upper and lower sections of the Darwaza tunnel to ensure the safety of the junction and facilitate the movement of transportation on the road.
Other road repairs that the ministry will work on soon will include two projects in the capital governate and twelve initiatives across the southern and northern regions of Kuwait.
The ministry has also allocated six contracts for road reconstruction to the Public Authority for Roads and Transportation.
The ministry has taken up these contracts to improve existing roads and improve connectivity and traffic flow in Kuwait.
