Bahrain won the semi-final match of the 2024 Arabian Gulf Cup against Kuwait on Tuesday, Dec. 31.
Neither team could secure a goal in the first half of the match. Bahrain's attempts to score a goal were either blocked or saved; the team also missed two attempts to secure a goal.
In the second half, both Kuwait and Bahrain attempted to score a goal but weren't able to do so until Bahrain's Mohamed Marhoon left-footed a shot from very close range to the top right corner with assistance from Amine Benaddi.
Kuwait's Eid Al Rashedi and Mohammad Daham attempted to score goals for their team, but they were not able to do so.
Bahrain tried to score more goals in the remainder of the match, but their attempts were blocked and saved.
The match between Bahrain and Kuwait ended with the score 1-0 with the Bahraini team advancing to the final of the tournament.
Bahrain will be playing against Oman in the final match, who defeated Saudi Arabia with a score of 2-1 in the semi-final on Tuesday.
The final of the Gulf Cup is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 4.
