Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna to Star in 'Thama'

Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana and 'Animal' star Rashmika Mandanna are joining Maddock's horror comedy universe with the upcoming film 'Thama'.

The franchise was started by the film 'Stree' and includes its blockbuster sequel 'Stree 2', 'Bhediya', and 'Munjya'. 

The production house shared the trailer on social media. The caption reads, "Dinesh Vijan’s Horror Comedy Universe needed a love story... unfortunately, it’s a bloody one. "

Alongside Khurrana and Mandanna, the film will feature Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The film will be released in 2025 on Diwali. 

'Munjya' director Aditya Sarpotdar will direct this film with a script written by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew and Arun Fulara.

Khuranna is rumored to play a vampire in the film, however, nothing has been confirmed. A report from Pinkvilla also hinted that the film will feature two time periods: the present North Indian city and the Vijayanagara Empire. According to this report, Siddiqui will play the antagonist in the film who is set to take revenge on the past in the present period.
