Abu Dhabi: Free Parking and no toll fees announced for Hijri holiday

Hijri New Year Holiday is announced for tomorrow, 30th July 2022 and it will be a paid holiday for the public and private sector.

Abu Dhabi Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) has announced that public parking spaces and toll charges will not be charged for Hijri New Year, July 30th, 2022, Saturday. ITC has also informed the People not to park their cars in prohibited areas or block the traffic flow. Working centers will be closed during the holiday and work will resume on August 1, Monday 2022.

Authority additionally informed that that public buses will function as in keeping with the regular schedule during the holiday.
As per astronomical calculations, July 30, Saturday will mark the first day of Muharram, the start of the Islamic new year (1444H).
