Abhishek Bachchan Denies Divorce Rumors
In an interview with Bollywood UK Media, the actor said, "Still married," showing his wedding ring.
Bollywood star couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have been subject to divorce rumors after the couple made public appearances separately at various events.
However, Abhishek Bachchan has put all rumors to rest by confirming that he is still married to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
In an interview with Bollywood UK Media, the actor said, "Still married," showing his wedding ring.
He added, "I don't have anything to say to you all about that. You all have blown the entire thing out of proportion, sadly. I understand, why you do it. You have to file some stories. It's okay, we're celebrities, we have to take it."
The divorce rumors have been circulating for a while and were fuelled by the couple's separate appearances at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding. While Abhishek Bachchan arrived with his parents, sister, and her children at the wedding venue in Mumbai, his wife arrived with their daughter Aaradhya.
The rumors were fuelled further when Abhishek Bachchan liked a post on Instagram about increasing rates of grey divorces.
The post stated, "Yet, sometimes life doesn't unfold as we hoped. But how do people cope when they separate after decades together, after spending a significant portion of their lives relying on each other for both big and small things? What drives them to sever ties, and what challenges do they face? This story delves into these questions. Coincidentally, 'grey divorces' or 'silver splitters'-terms for those seeking marital dissolution typically after age 50-are on the rise globally. The reasons, though varied, are not surprising."

The star couple got married in 2007 and had their daughter in 2011. The couple celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary in April and Aishwarya Rai posted a throwback picture from their wedding album, featuring Abhishek putting a ring on her finger.
After the actor's recent statement, fans are relieved to know that their favorite star couple is happily married.
