A Look Inside Mohammed bin Rashid Library
Mohammed bin Rashid Library is scheduled to open its doors to the public this week on Thursday, June 16, to give them the opportunity to visit the largest library in the Arab world. It includes 1.1 million print and digital books, a theater, and exhibitions spread over 7 floors within a huge open book-style building located in Al Jaddaf.
This library opens the way for readers to gather and conduct various group conversations. Below we take a detailed look at the sections of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Library.
Level 7 - Exhibitions
The upper floor of the library is dedicated to exhibitions; this space houses a collection of Quranic manuscripts, writing instruments, old maps, old magazines, and much more.
Level 6 - Business Library + Emirates Library
This floor includes seating areas and a set of computers to conduct research and business, in addition to a large number of books written by Emirati and Arab writers about the UAE.
Level 4 - Conference Rooms
This floor includes 12 meeting rooms of varying sizes, the largest of which can accommodate about 24 people, all of which are equipped and prepared for holding meetings and conferences.
Level 3 - Employees
This floor is dedicated to the staff of Mohammed bin Rashid Library.
Level 2 - Study Rooms
The library provided open spaces of various capacities for students to study and read alone or in groups.
Level 1 - Libraries
This library contains a treasure trove of books specialized in various vital fields, from arts to engineering, and many other books suitable for all ages.
Ground Floor - Libraries, Lecture Hall & Café
This floor hosts another library, where there is a large selection of newspapers and magazines, as well as a large hall with comfortable white seats for lectures and documentaries, and a café that serves snacks and various hot and cold drinks.
