A Kuwaiti senior citizen fell prey to a matrimonial scam! The male citizen in his sixties paid KD 23,000 for a garage and a young bride.

However, he did not secure a garage, nor did he secure the young bride!

The senior citizen filed a report at the Hawalli Governate Police Station.

The complaint detailed that the senior citizen had entered a joint venture agreement with an expatriate for a garage.

The man had also paid the expat the initial sum of KD 13,000.

The scammer further lured the man into paying KD 10,000 with the promise of getting him married.

When the man handed over the additional money, the accused disappeared.

The victim could not reach the accused, who had disconnected his phone.

The accused's name was added to the arrest lists, and an investigation was initiated for the fraud charges.
