A Kuwaiti Company Launches Bike Lanes Initiative for Cyclists' Safety

Al Thiqa Food Group Company has launched an initiative to develop separate lanes for cyclists in Kuwait.
The company is planning to fully fund the development of these bicycle lanes.

The company has also recommended various locations in the country for the project to different state departments including:
- Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources
- Kuwait Municipality, Touristic Enterprises Company
- Public Utilities Management Company
- Kuwait University
The initiative has been launched after an accident on Gulf Road, which injured 15 cyclists.
Gia, an Al Thiqa Good Group Company restaurant, has launched an awareness campaign, which involves spreading awareness about cyclists' safety in Kuwait through its products.
The company urges other companies to launch similar initiatives for good-quality sports facilities in Kuwait.
