8 People Arrested for Running an Unlicensed Restaurant, Serving Pork

The General Department of Criminal Investigation has arrested eight people for running a private residence as an unlicensed restaurant and serving alcoholic beverages and pork.
This comes as part of the efforts of the Criminal Security Sector to arrest violators and outlaws.
As many as 489 bottles containing locally manufactured alcoholic beverages, 54 jars containing alcoholic materials, 10 imported alcoholic bottles, and 218 kilograms of pork were found and were confiscated by the Food and Nutrition Public Authority after they were seized.
Sums of money for providing services to restaurant patrons were also found.
The accused and the seized items are being referred to the competent authorities to take all necessary legal measures against them.
