According to reliable sources, the Ministry of Interior will open five new biometric fingerprint centers as part of the facilities it is expanding. Four will be located in the commercial complexes Al-Kout, the Avenues, 360 Mall, and Al-Asimah Mall, and the fifth will be in the Ministries Complex.

Since the application's launch, about 530,000 residents and citizens have submitted their biometric fingerprints, and work is currently underway to build additional facilities with the goal of successfully completing the project.

The Hawalli, Farwaniya, Al-Ahmadi, Jahra, and Mubarak Al-Kabeer security directorates, as well as two centers for expatriates in the Ali Sabah Al-Salem Identification Department and the Identification Department in the Al-Jahra region, have been identified as centers for citizens and nationals. A scheduled appointment will be the only way for all of the existing centers to accept applications.

The sources noted that the new locations will accept citizens and residents and take the biometric fingerprint without having to wait for a prior appointment.

For residents or citizens, the inability to make a fingerprint has no impact on travel and permits travelers to depart without the necessity of taking a fingerprint, which is then taken upon return.
