An elite group of Qatari and resident artists, members of the Qatar Society for Fine Arts, gathered at the Fourth Elite Exhibition at the Society's headquarters in the Cultural Village General Organization (Katara), with the participation of 42 artists with 43 artworks, which varied between different art schools.

A number of artists stressed the importance of this artistic station, which puts the recipient in the picture, and allows him to find out the latest developments of the participating artists.

In this regard, the artist Ibrahim Khalfan said that the artist’s participation in art exhibitions is not only recording his presence but presenting his new work and the technical development he has reached.

And he pointed out that his painting, which he called "The Long Wait", refers to the waiting period through a girl whose grey hair invaded her head, and the rectangle in front of her symbolizes the barrier that stands between her, and her ambitions and hopes, But, nevertheless, a glimmer of hope looms through a bird that seems to be in solidarity with this girl.

Khalfan works for the first time in acrylic with a different technique, in an attempt to renew his work.

For her part, the artist, Mouddi Al-Hajri, praised the level at which the exhibition appeared, and its diversity between painting, models, decoration, and environmental images.

Al-Hajri indicated that her participation is a Qatari-style artwork, decorated with some Qatari-style trees, in addition to camels.

The artist, Noura Al-Tawar, expressed her happiness and enthusiasm for participating in the Elite exhibition.

Al-Tawar participates in an artistic painting that embodies the feelings of motherhood in a realistic style.

In his turn, the artist, Ahmed Noah, explained that his participation in the Elite Exhibition is his second, with a painting measuring 1.5 by 1.5 meters in collage technique according to the abstract method.

And he pointed out that the motifs he worked on had an oriental spirit, With elaborate and thoughtful repetition, he mixed in it between brackets and Arabic calligraphy, and pictures of very small sizes, of people in the mosque.

He added that this repetition is what we always observe in Islamic architecture, whether in the geometric shapes or the pattern of decoration.

As for the Syrian artist, Suzan Abu Assi, she is participating for the first time in the exhibition with a painting that used the (scribbling) technique in acrylic colors with dry ink, as the portrait that adorns the painting, sometimes shows some details, and sometimes hide it, between shadows and light.

While the Iraqi artist Omar Al-Shihabi left the task of deciphering his artwork, to the recipient, he said, "My paintings are a symbolic expressive state, which any recipient can interpret according to his opinion and mood."

It is worth noting that the fourth elite exhibition will remain open to the public until the fourth of next May.
