A fatal shooting disrupted the Rabieh district of Amman, Jordan, early Sunday morning, leaving one man dead and three public security officers injured.
The neighborhood, home to the Israeli embassy, became the scene of a tense confrontation between a gunman and security forces.
Jordan's Public Security Directorate reported that the incident began when the suspect opened fire on a patrol vehicle operating in the area. Security forces swiftly surrounded the assailant, who continued firing until they engaged him, resulting in his death.
Three injured officers are currently undergoing treatment, with authorities emphasizing that the situation is under control. Investigations into the motive behind the attack are ongoing.
